My thoughts on Tigers Curse chapters 1-5. Honestly, it wasnt too terrible until about chapter 4. I mean, it was boring and cliched, but it didnt hit please shoot me territory for a while. 1) The main character is, as expected, a cardboard cutout that someone put a hat on. She seems to think that getting a summer job to help pay for her school in the fall is a crazy life. She also believes that being a foster child is an unbelievably complicated personal history. Also...she loves Romeo and Juliet. *Gags* 2) she gets a job taking care of a tiger, which she alternately thinks should be set free to run wild, and wants to pet. Make up your mind woman! WE know hes a transformed prince, but SHE doesnt know that yer. I really wanted the tiger to turn out be just be a real tiger and bite off her hand! 3) after two weeks with this tiger, she gets the chance to ride with the TIGER back to India to set it free on a nature preserve. And everyone is okay with 17 year old with no prior big cat experience being in charge of it during a long journey. Uhm....what? 4) The author had NO idea what should and should not be included in the story. I would call it filler, but it really just seems like lack of skill. We DO NOT need to know all about this or that car, or the plane she rides on. Our main acts amazed by everything. Like she was terribly poor before this and is now astounded by any modern amenities. *facepalm*
