My tribute and gratitude to the men and women of the US military on this Veterans Day Weekend. I did not have the honor of serving my country, but I know what my Dad, Dusty Hartman, did to serve. And for him and all others that served I say Thank You from my heart. Im writing this at the very moment-- three years ago--- that I was loaded on the first life flight trip to Baltimore for emergency open heart surgery. I can reflect on how lucky I am to be a combination survivor, 4 years dealing with cancer, and now 3 years beating the odds against an aorta aneurysm dissection surgery. and a lot of other stuff that life throws at you . There are only 4 reasons that I am still around here: 1. The grace and mercy of God and comfort of Jesus. 2. The love and support of a wonderful wife, children and family. 3. The skill and competence of great medical Doctors, Nurses, and Staff. 4. The support of caring prayer warriors. Thanks to all for allowing me to stick around. We watched a great movie last night, Gods not Dead ...I am convinced he is alive and well. Thank you God!
