> My two new birdies Pickle (boy, left) and Honeydew (girl, right) are African ringnecks. As I know, most people have Indian ringnecks. I did a little research online. It said they were cousins. How could a ringneck in Africa have a cousin in India? :D Both kinds of ringnecks are quite similar, smart, funny, lovely... The differences are minor. African ringnecks have dark-red beaks, and Indian ringnecks have bright-red beaks. African ringnecks are slightly smaller than Indian ringnecks. African ringnecks may be a little more docile and quiet than Indian ringnecks. African ringnecks are lime-green color mostly. Indian ringnecks are multi-colors. I couldnt find a group of African ringnecks on Facebook. Instead, several groups for Indian ringnecks are there. It said African ringnecks were extremely rare in the United States. Actually it doesnt matter what kind, both are ringnecks and we love ringnecks. :)
