My very comical gypsy daughter Roxanne calls me after having been pick pocketed in Philly. Wallet, passport, lisence, the whole enchilada. She tells me how super in tune to her surroundings she has become, when I questioned her about her role in this, since she appears to be a magnet for criminals, this not having been her first experience by far. So the credit card co. alerts her to unusual activity on her card at a store very near to where she discovers her wallet missing. She runs to the address to see if she can take down the offender, (clearly questionable reasoning- already discussed) to find he has already left. The police arrive and they look at a security video from the interaction. In it they see her Pick-pocketer is an enormous 64 African American man wearing a dress and heels. Somehow, she never noticed him in her proximity. And this, my friends, is my daughter being super in-tune with her surroundings.
