My visit to the Reina Sofia Museum was in deed special. It took up almost the best part of my day. When I arrived at the Museum and saw the long queues I was almost put off by it but the long winding queue moved quite speedily; and after ten minutes of waiting I was in the museum. The museum has an excellent collection of work. This is also complimented by superb temporary exhibitions. It is worth paying the extra €4.50 for an audio guide of the exhibitions. If you are a school teacher and can provide any documentation to that effect you get free entrance into the museum. If you are a budget traveler you can take advantage of free admission between 6pm and 9pm. The most special part of this museum is the room that exhibits Picassos GUERNICA. It is an incredibly powerful and amazing piece of work. Again, I spent as much time in this room watching peoples response to this work. It ranged from meditative to profound appreciation. Any attempt by anyone to try and focus a camera or a selfie in this room would send off a siren. pablopicasso.org/guernica.jsp
