My voice has now been silenced, and my eyes no longer see, My Daddy has finally done it, and he has murdered me My little body was so fragile, but he still beat me all the time, Even though I would cry so hard, he never seemed to mind! He would batter me unforgivingly, and seemed to never even care, Now I lay dead in this wooden box, in which you are seeing here. My Momma could not help me, for he would beat her just the same, Every time he would look at me, he would beat me once again! When I would cry, her would beat me more, so I learned to hide the tears, But I had to endure these beatings, for my life of less then three years. While I lie here in this wooden box, I find it so peaceful to be here, For Never again the hand of man, shall I ever need to fear. Three long years is a very long time, when your life is filled with pain, But there is such comfort in knowing, this will never happen to me again! Now I lay me down to sleep, for the rest of eternity, As God has came to rescue me, and now loves me tenderly! I hope that soon God will rescue all the little children everywhere, Who have so much pain and torment in which they have to bear! I know that they will find peace with him, and they will never hurt anymore, For they will have more love from him, than they have ever known before! If you have a little child, I hope that you will love it too, And I hope that you will treat it well, like you are supposed to do, No child should ever live like this, and I hope you that will agree, And if you ever have a child, dont ever treat it, like my Daddy treated me!
