My wife is preparing her from-scratch Banana Pudding. Angels have drawn near to the house in an effort to see her recipe. The recipe has been in her family ever since the first banana was invented in 1073 A.D. I have seen grown men weep and pledge their undying devotion to my wifes culinary abilities after a single spoon of this mystical dish. The first time I ate an entire bowl of it, I went into a mystical trance that lasted for 3 days, at the end of which I began to recite the entire corpus of St. Denys, in the original Greek. Birds held their breath in awe. This is the definitive Banana Pudding in which other banana puddings only participate to some degree, by virtue of which they have their appellation. This is the Primal Pudding. And it is being concocted in my kitchen, unworthy though it be.
