My wish list for the new Congress: 1. No more bailouts for states like California when poor decision making consistently puts them on the brink of bankruptcy. When people and businesses fail, they learn from the consequences. Bailouts are not the business of government. Picking winners and losers is not what we do in America. 2. Job Creation for the poor 3. Campaign reform. It is time to limit the amount of political contributions and who they are from. Getting this right will permit more average Americans to run for office. Too many millionaires in Congress result in an out of touch government. 4. Force the closing of the border. Shut down the illegal drug trade, human trafficking, and terrorist possibilities. 5. Immigration Reform If people want to come here, the system should not be cumbersome. Like every other country in the world, we need an easy process and limits on the numbers every year. The limits are needed, so the infrastructure can expand to accommodate needs.In Australia, the person has to have a job to enter and are permitted to bring the immediate family. Perhaps this is a model to look at. Several European countries have adopted it.
