My world has crashed...Today is truly a sad day and the intensity of my grief only illustrates the magnitude of the fall out I feel in my heart. My sweet little angel Cookie had to be put down today and she has crossed the rainbow bridge. I could never have been prepared enough, and the only consolatory thing I can think of is that, I had the chance to tell her how loved she was as she took her last breath. It took me over 2 hours to let your body go, holding you in my arms for the last time, knowing it would be the last time...trying to imagine that you were just taking a nap. She has left her tiny paw prints forever engraved on my heart. She will always be remembered as a perfect little creature, my little sidekick. Cookie made everyone love her, she didnt give people much of a choice. She could score free tim bits at the drive-through with no assistance from me and even once got me off a driving violation! R.I.P. my sweet love Cookie Bear, I could not have custom made a dog better than you; you were absolutely and wonderfully perfect in every way. Old age is the cruel reality of our world...and your collective conditions took a toll on your frail tiny body. I only wish there is a place for your soul to live eternally with squeaky toys, treats, belly rubs and comforting naps. You passed today...and I miss you already.
