My worst Thanksgiving memory? Had to be the late 80s. What normally is a 3.5 to 4 hour drive from South Florida to Lakeland took 10.5 hours! It poured rain to almost white out conditions and was bumper to bumper...then at the Yee Haw Junction exit the nice lady at the toll plaza told me to get back on the turnpike and head to Orlando because Hwy 60 was closed due to a bad accident. The word stress does not even come close to what I was feeling that Wednesday before Thanksgiving but then again, the late 80s were pretty stressful in general.
