#MyStory .....See what many didnt know is that I didnt come out of nowhere via the beef .Ive been heavily involved in SA Hip Hop for a minute and this was out of love.....Before I continue I will just take you through my journey ga nyane fela .I hope you patient with me.....From hosting events as a kid back in 2001 I grew to use that platform to promote Hip Hop in SA.....Our very first BIG Hip Hop gig was in 2002 .....We booked Tumi (From The Volume), HHP and Skwatta Kamp .I had a relationship with Tumi from high school .He taught me so much that I know about Hip Hop today .I knew Slikour through high school athletics meetings that used to be hosted at Germiston stadium .We met in a cypher (where rappers circle up and rap with just a beat box ).....Trust me Slikour used to be ill,he used to be sick lyrically and we all respected him on the raps .I met Jabba in 2002 through my boy Dichaba Phalatse.....We were launching HotBoy and we wanted to give rappers a platform to shine .We had such a huge following so we wanted to expose Hip Hop to that following .So on some odd day when we were hanging in Hursthill (Just behind Helen Joseph hospital,2002) after a sleep over at our boy Tshepo Molefes womans place .We were planning this huge event and I wanted Jabba on but I didnt know him personally so Dichaba knew Jabba and he mentioned that Jabba stayed up the road in Brixton so we went there unexpectedly .Jabba welcomed us with open arms and Dichaba introduced us .I told Jabba My brother we are HotBoyz,we do events and we want you on .We got Skwatta Kamp and Tumi on the line .We also got Dj Blaze on the decks so how much can you charge us?......He mentioned the figure .I gave him the date and the rest was history.....The event was a success.....From then Jabba and I were boys. He performed at many more events of ours.... Fast Forward to 2004....We had already set up shop at a couple of venue in Melville and North Cliff Corner .We were all about showcasing NEW/FrESH talent .Some of these gigs we paid cats, some it was for free .We hardly made profit .It was all in the name of keeping the movement alive......We pushed a lot of cats that year and this is where I NAME DROP :..... PlayOffs (Maggz,Nothende,Young Marcus R.ip to the homie) ,Ozone ,Jub Jub,Pro Kid ,Teargas,SpaceMunna,Sgem 1 (Now known as Bar) and MANY other names I cant recall .But all this was in the name of pushing the movement . So that whole year my boys and I were pushing the Jay Stash brand....I was trying to release an album .We got EVERYBODY on our side.....Everybody...We were putting together this BIG Jay Stash launched and this is who we got on the line up ....Dj C-Live,Zak Dakile,Milkshake,Dimplez,Dj Anonymuz,Pro Kid,Mxo,10111,My Man (He was about to drop his album) ,Morafe.......So I was at Campus Square this other day and I bumped into Thaso who had signed Morafe at the time and he now had a NEW artist called Tuks .I didnt know shit about no Tuks but he asked me Yo Jay,I got this new kid boss,he is on fire .Can u please put him on you line up?Lets go to my car so I can play you one or 2 of his songs ......I was like Yeah for sure we can do that.....So off we went to the parking and as we got to the car Thaso was all amped up that I should hear this dude....He played me 2 or 3 songs by Tuks and I was like This boy is niiice, yeah I will put him on the line up .......Should I continue ?
