Myanmar Asa Kular Ga (the origin of Myanmar, Mon and Rakhine civilizations is India, or Kular Byay). Burmese nationalists are suffering from certifiable delusions about their origin. When the late Saya Dr Than Tun, the historian with unrivaled expertise on the history of the country established a new paradigm Myanmar began in Kyauk Hse, he must have meant only physical presence of the people who later became Mien or Myanmar. The undeniable truth is without the foundation of the Kular civilization - Gotama and his Buddhist philosophy, Loka-niti, the South Indian alphabet (written Bama language), the longyi, the Hindu style temple architecture (go see Ananda, for instance), court Brahmins, astrology, etc - virtually everything we claim our own - has Indian origin. Early Bama nationalists such as Dr Htin Aung (folklorist), Dr Ba Han (legal scholar), etc. all promoted this stupid purist historical falsity about Myanmars origin. The result is a neo-Fascist history where Bama is a pure thing! Pure Myanmar, my arse!
