Myself and some others went out to this aboriginal heritage site that I have not seen in a dogs age – our would that be buffalo? Yet it was fun to see places I had been so many times by way of the lens. The morning seemed like cloud cover yet the sun did come out. I was speaking with one person on why this Waneskewan Heritage site isn’t moved. And there were several reasons for it. Namely it’s declared aboriginal grounds. And I don’t think the Dakota Dunes which are south bound are prepared to move a sited both which were primarily financed not by monies other than what they “barked” at the provincial government to give them. In Canada we are changing from a cultural perspective, and now in this day and age if places can’t make it with a moderate well reviewed grant. Then the country as a whole decides on where and how it is set up. I have come to see that upon my return I am viewing my own city from a different vantage. Perhaps for the better, perhaps within the same vein that many do wish to see this city go as it goes through a tremendous growth period.
