Mysore practice tomorrow, Sunday 7am-9am Here is a video of Kapotasana. This posture is in Second Series, Intermediate Series. A very deep back bend. Ive always been able to get into this posture, but it took me lots of practice to do it correctly. It requires flexibility, but more importantly, strength. I work hard on pressing feet down, pressing knees down, encouraging internal rotation in thighs without moving knees, lifting pelvic floor up, drawing lower belly in, pushing hips forward, lengthening spine, lifting chest up, keeping elbows in, pressing elbows down, gazing at the nose, and of course breathing. Focusing on all these aspects through out the asana/posture.
