N.G.O FACILITY: FHI 360 is a nonprofit human development organization dedicated to improving lives in lasting ways by advancing integrated locally driven solutions. FHI 360 is currently recruiting to fill the following position; Position: Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist [X3 Persons Required] Project: MAPS Project. Location: Abuja, Kogi, Oyo States - Nigeria. Contract Type: Fixed term ( 1 year) Job Description: The M&E Specialist, under the supervision of the National Coordinator. NMCP and the Director, OPRS/SMoH: and additional supervision from both the M&E Advisor based in Abuja and Branch Head (M&E Branch of the NMCP), wili support the implementation of the NHMIS integration process: support the complete roll-out of the NHMIS to all public and private health facilities: support the implementation and institutionalization and national data quality assurance protocol. Duties/Responsibilities: Stimulate the demand for data from various health department and support development 01 a credible system of access to data from the DPRS to other department with in the SMoH Increase data availability at the NMCP andfor SMOH/DPRS which will guide information making by all stakeholders Support the HMIS and NMCP data collection systems Provide additional technical and Capacity building support to the M&E staff at both National and State level Institute regular data analysis, presentation to stakeholders and feedback to the states. Periodically provide concrete evidence that can be used for decision making. Build capacity of SMOH to perform these functions after the tenure-ship. The M&E Specialist in Kogi and Oyo State will work full time at the SMOH/DPRS, while the M&E Specialist in Abuja will work full time at the NMCP. Supports collection, process and disseminate relevant and necessary information required both for state health planning and for monitoring the utilization of resources in accordance with state priorities, objectives and health indicators. Reviews existing database of data and provide recommendations for improvement. Ensures timely sharing of data to relevant agencies, departments and programs operating at the State level: and quality of data improved where applicable Provides monthly reports to the DPRS & MAPS Office Quarterly reports to the PMI through MAPS Monitor and present key indicators every quarter by set (criteria e.g. PMI supported sites, GF supported sites, zonal presentations etc.) Regularly support analysis of state data to provide trend of indicators used for monitoring of service data. Supports regular conduct of data quality audit in the state Any other duty assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: 1st degree in Medicine or other relevant fields with Masters in Public Health.A PhD experience in Public Health,Mathematics,Statistics or related fields will be an added advantage At least 5 years post NYSC experience in assessment design & implementation and monitoring and evaluation of donor funded programs Proficiency in Excel,Word and database management especially DHS Demonstrable experience with statistical software packages (Stata,SPSS,Epi info) Familiarity with USAID policies Familiarity with Nigerian public and private sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
