N1M SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR EGBA/YEWA INDIGENES ARE you an Egba or Yewa INDIGENE from Ogun State? Are you in any higher institution of learning in Nigeria? Are you brilliant - in your studies? And finally, and most importantly, are you having financial handicap in paying your school fees, due to certain circumstances? IF yes, definitely you could benefit from the second edition of the N1 million scholarship fund which our national association in diaspora (specifically North America), EGBA NATIONAL ASSOCIATION US & CANADA, is giving out this year. FOR more details, read the instructions below, but note NO long leg in the choice of the beneficiaries, but you or your qualified family members could apply. Check below website for application form: egbanationaluscanada.org/ INSTRUCTIONS: The Egba National Association, USA/Canada invites sons and daughters of Egba and Yewa indigenes residing in Nigeria, to apply for scholarship fund to continue their education at any Public University, polytechnic or College in Nigeria. Each prospective applicant must complete only one ENA Scholarship Form and attached all required information. PURPOSE OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS: 1. To support Egba and Yewa Indigenes who are in financial need in pursuing a higher Education. 2. To reduce the level of illiteracy in Egba and Yewa Communities. 3. To encourage young Egba and Yewa sons and daughters on education. ELIGIBILITY: Sons and daughters of Egba and Yewa who have gained admission to or currently in any higher Institution of learning in Nigeria. SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must demonstrate need and self-disciplined through: 1. Good academic standing. 2. Financial needs. 3. Good moral standing within and outside the communities. ESSAY TOPIC: Describe how Nigeria Government was able to contain Ebola Crisis in Nigeria? No more than 2-page write-up SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING: 1. Tell us about yourself and your parents in Egba or Yewa. Include your TOWN, QUARTERS, (COMPOUND – Agbole) and LOCAL GOVERNMENT. 2. Two letters of recommendation: one from group A and one from group B below. a. (Group A). Community leaders / Local government Chairperson / Councillor etc. b. (Group B). One of your School officials. 3. One Passport size photo of the applicant (write your full name at the back of the photo) 4. E-scan completed ENA scholarship Form with all required documents to [email protected] 5. In addition, all Completed Original application form and documents must be submitted to Alake Palace Secretariat at Abeokuta. NOTICE OF AWARD Successful candidates will be notified in writing by the General Secretary of the Association. METHOD OF DISBURSEMENT All scholarship funds will be disbursed to qualified awardees through school or as fit deem upon proper verification by the Egba National Association, USA/Canada.
