But Ewuga looks to be the peoples favourite, even though he lacks the presidential backing that Maku enjoys. An associate of Labaran Maku told TheCable that the primary election would be just be a walkover for the former minister. There are nine candidates in all: Solomon Ewuga, a former deputy governor of the state under Abdullahi Adamu; Labaran Maku, former minister of information; Damishi Luka; Mohammed Yusuf Agabi; Aliyu Doma; Mike Abdul; Chris Mamman; Hussein Mohammed and Bala, a retired wing commander. The primary was originally billed to take place at the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, but it will now hold at a guest house owned by the polytechnic
