NATIONAL ANTI COMMON CORE PROTEST FOR MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2013 Evening .... Just a reminder that my friend Janet Wilson has organized a Nationwide Event protesting Common Core for Monday, November 18, 2013. We will not be sending our children to school..... most, if not all of us participating have already taken the steps to opt out of Common Core at the District level and are consistently working towards getting each of our States to Abolish the Curriculum. Some states are already in the process of developing legislation to do just that. I have been asked to define the issues surrounding Common Core more times than I care to repeat. So rather than continuing to respond via messaging, I am attaching the links to FERPA. What most people dont realize about the Core Curriculum is that, regardless of certain improvements to the education your child may receive, there is MUCH hidden within the Standards and policies.... much like Obamacare; such as Datamining. To understand datamining, you MUST read FERPA. FERPA governs the rights of you or your child concerning there education. Changes were made to FERPA by the Obama Administration... government.... that affect those rights..... and MOST who do not understand the correlation between CORE and FERPA claim that most of what they hear about CORE is a bunch of right wing extremist crap..... pardon the quote by someone I had the pleasure of explaining CORE to in detail within a School District in our State. Quite the opposite.... as with every other agenda that Obama has promoted, MUCH is hidden in the CORRELATION of key pieces of legislation. Such as biometric identifiers.... Under old FERPA regulations, schools were not allowed disclose certain identifiers about your child in the records should they be requested by government. Amendments to S.99.5 redefine who is authorized to view your childs records without consent, INCLUSIVE of identifiers.... the federal government or any state or educational agency with a legitimate concern may view them. S.99.31 amends the definition of identifiers to INCLUDE biometric record, to mean a record of one or more measurable biological or behavioral characteristics that can be used for automated recognition of an individual, including fingerprints, retina and iris patterns, voiceprints, DNA sequence, facial characteristics, and handwriting. I challenge ANY parent to actually READ the ENTIRETY of the CORE STANDARDS, as well as FERPA and then the AMENDMENTS to FERPA authorized by Obama. Be forewarned, you WILL have to play connect the dots and cross-reference all of the changes made.... such as has become the nature of this administration - sneaking through legislation that most Americans are not inclined to dissect.
