NAVHDA shmavhda, early morning drive to one of my favorite places, Bong Recreation Area, where I sit in the car most of the day watching Kenneth McKean play with OTHER dogs. Finally get trotted out, half hitched (is navhda Greek for humiliation?) where upon I wow the crowd with my exemplary nose and stylish point and am then corrected, CORRECTED for going for a bird which by all rights is mine, MINE! This happened three times, I almost had some buffoon fooled as I waited patiently as he kicked the grass all around this quail, which I found by the way, until I couldnt take it anymore and had to pounce. After this it seemed like good cheer all around, but I was led back to the car, to sulk as the fun continued for other dogs, mostly some short haired,slack jawed, Cretans . Got a cheese burger out of it in the end.
