NBA GAME PICKS RESULT: 12 / 26 / 2014 Well, that was no surprise... Another 1 out of 2 picks for me.. I was juggling between CLE and WAS to be my main pick, first I was leaning toward CLE for having a better overall lineup, then I thought, I guess its better if I chose a weaker opponent, which is far less problem for me. And I knew that WAS really play very well against weaker teams.. Still lucky me, betting more in WAS than in CLE.. _______________________________________________________ WAS @ NYK +5 = 102 - 91 **This game was never close, leading 16 points in the end of the first half was huge for the Wizards. They have controlled the game from the start. Its always nice to see Wall and Beal shoot better with almost 50% shooting from the field, and the Wizards out rebounded the Knicks as well throughout the game. I have no idea why the Knicks never capitalized the inside presence of Amare, playing only 21 minutes. Although Carmelo Anthony again was a no surprise for the Knicks scoring 34 points, but his too much perimeter shooting hurt his team, where he should have had tried posting up or scoring on the inside which he was doing effectively in the first half. _______________________________________________________ CLE @ MIA +5.5 = 91 - 101 **Dwayne Wade was on fire in to the first half of this game, firing all around the court and looks so unstoppable, simply being the Dwade that we knew.. On the other hand, here goes the Cavs again, with their 1 on 1 plays starting with Lebron and Irving, and then an outside jumpers for Love. Those plays wont work for the Cavs all the time. If they really wanna be a contender in the NBA, they have to worked on their ball movement. They cant score always with the ball stuck up with Lebron or Irving. I know they can do a lot better on this one, they played aggressive coming in to the 2nd half, diving on the loose balls and playing aggressively on the defensive end, which made the life of Wade a lot harder than the first half of the game scoring less than 10 points while missing a lot of shots. But the point where the Cavs played so well against the contenders like Memphis for example, where they have set up their shooters and played in the post with Lebron, with a very good ball rotation was amazing. Its just not the game that I wanted to happen today. And the fact that they looked lost out there without a legit Big man in the middle. One more thing, I guess one other mistake that they made was they played small ball against the Heat where their starting five was Love, Marion, James, Miller, and Irving. Without a legit center who can actually block shots like Tristan Thompson in the middle made them very weak against Wade and Deng simply driving along on the inside.
