NBC Wins 2013-2014 Season in 18-49 Demo; CBS Is Most-Watched Network Overall NBC was repeatedly mocked in recent years for its lackluster ratings, but the network can now brag about a major victory over its competitors. NBC has won the 2013-2014 primetime TV season in the advertiser-coveted 18- to 49-year-old demographic. Its the first time its triumphed in that demo over a full season in 10 years. The Peacock network benefited from its coverage of the Sochi Winter Olympics in February. It also aired the most-watched primetime program of the season, Sunday Night Football, and launched a popular new drama, The Blacklist, in the post-Voice time slot on Monday nights. Overall, CBS was the most-watched network for the sixth consecutive year, and for the 11th season out of the last 12. The 2013-2014 TV season ends Wednesday night. CBS ruled the Nielsens for last week, with NCIS, The Big Bang Theory and NCIS: Los Angeles occupying the top three spots. CBS averaged the most primetime viewers of any network last week. ABC was second, followed by NBC, Fox, Univision, the CW, Telemundo and ION Television.
