NDP Vague Promises For Votes ---------------------------------- According to an NDP mouthpiece NDP has made some promises to Vincentians in an effort to secure their votes and put NDP in RULERSHIP of the country. But when one analyzes these promises they are not worth the space where they are written. The NDP mouthpiece claims that NDP promises to provide one job to a member of every household in St.Vincent. This on the surface may seem like manna from Heaven to those that are unemployed and want to work. However, before we get ahead of ourselves, let us ask a few pertinent questions in regard to this promise. How many households are there total in St.Vincent and the Grenadines? We must know this number to know exactly how many jobs to expect from the NDP. The population of St.Vincent is reported to be about 104,000. If we were to divide this number by three, as a rough estimate, based on three individual per household, we will get 34,000. So, as a rough estimate, NDP is promising to provide Vincentians with 34,000 jobs. The second question is where are these jobs? Are they government jobs? Where will the NDP obtain funding for these jobs? The NDP must be more specific in telling us exactly how many jobs it will provide and the source of these jobs. The NDP must also tell us the timeline when these jobs will be provided. Will all 34,000 jobs be provided six months after they are elected? Four years after they are elected? Will these hirings be staggered, 100 the first year, 300 the next year? Vincentians must know exactly what it is the NDP is promising. We know that the NDP is a party that continuously lies so we need information that can be objectively verified. The NDP, as well as Vincentians, is familiar with the saying a promise is a comfort to a fool. Is the NDP treating Vincentians as fools with these promises?
