NEED A DRAFTSMAN!!! JOB DESCRIPTION: Draftsman use basic industry experience to perform intermediate drafting and basic design tasks under the direction of the assigned Engineer. This position requires the ability to follow direction and complete drafting activities with a moderate level of oversight. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Creates intermediate 2D and/or 3D CAD drawings per supervisor direction and departmental standards and best practices • Helps create and maintain CAD libraries under the direction of the Coordinator • Assists in development of new machines as well as current machine prints. • Follows Company policies and procedures • Manages time effectively • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Minimum Requirements: • Basic understanding of industry best practices and standards • Intermediate understanding and experience with fundamental drafting and/or 3D modeling software functions • Basic understanding of specialized drafting software • Basic understanding of Engineering and Operations pertaining to the industry • Ability to learn company specific applications and standards • Ability to follow direction • Attentive and active listening skills, with the patience to hear people out and accurately restate the opinions of others • Dedication to meeting customer expectations and requirements while maintaining effective customer relationships • Ability to work and communicate effectively verbally and electronically with all levels of co-workers • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles • Demonstration of proficient computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office and • necessary engineering applications • Willingness to accept challenges and learn quickly when facing new problems and unfamiliar tasks • Capacity to quickly learn new industry, company, product and technical knowledge • Moderate time management and priority-setting skills EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE Required: • Minimum 2 years AutoCAD/Solidworks experience • High school diploma or equivalent • Training in computer programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office Preferred: • Technical degree with emphasis on Engineering or Drafting • Drafting expertise for mechanical drawings.
