NEED FOR KENNEL FACILITIES There are many people trying to help our Hong Kong stray and abandoned dogs. These people have good hearts but as the need is so great it can get out of control very quickly. To run a kennel with good staffing, good hygiene, good food, daily exercise for dogs, training and providing proper medical care it requires alot of funding. Sadly there are not enough kennels to provide shelter. As well as having a big heart there is a need to be tough to know the limits of keeping the living standards high or else so many of these dogs will suffer. Picture 1 shows a shelter kennel out of control and hopefully now there is a restructure in motion. SAI KUNG STRAY FRIENDS are proud of our shelter kennels at No. 151 Tai Lam Wu, Sai Kung and proud our dogs have excellent shelter, care and attention, daily food and LOVE! Our dogs are happy and healthy and our adopters are impressed by the standard of our dogs and their ability to adapt from shelter life to a home. Our kennels cannot operate in this good standand without the help and donations from the public. We have our problems now trying to raise our monthly rental of $52,000 and our appeal is asking for monthly pledges from donors to help us stay at our current kennels for the coming 2 years. We need to sign a lease before 31st December, 2014.
