NEED TUTORING THIS FALL??? Academic Success Center is very excited to announce a new support service available this Fall 2013 semester starting September 3rd for all undergraduate students to use. Through a partnership with Tutor ®, we will offer 24/7 online tutoring that connects students one-to-one with a subject expert tutor the minute they need assistance (Business Center option is available 3:00pm to 12:00 am CST). The tutoring service can be accessed from any internet-enable computer or mobile device by going to WWW.Tutor/TAMUC (will not be able to log in until 9/3/13). On this page (tutor/tamuc) you should be able to view a demo video on the online classroom. On hands training will be scheduled later, but wanted everyone to beware that we will have this service available to all undergraduate students both on and off campus starting Fall 2013. Tutoring is available in following subject areas: • Math: Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, & Statistics • Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Earth Sciences • Business: Account, Finance & Economics • English, Writing & History Additionally, the program also offers study resources such as skills-building tool, lessons, test prep materials, and videos. At the log in page there are two different videos for you to see, one is a demo of classroom and the other is listed on under Site info: Demo Video. We will also continue to host all of our on campus Peer educator’s if students prefer to meet in person, but one more option to help our students make the grade. Supplemental instruction (SI Leaders math), JAMP room and Gee library will still be hosted in person sessions 5 days a week with evening hours in their same locations.
