NEEDED Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Duties: Oversee day to day shift procedures including: shift staffing levels, phasing of staff with flow of restaurant, monitoring staff side work, arranging set up of shift reservations and events & supplying constant management presence on the restaurant floor Maintains facility and equipment on a day to day basis in order to schedule repairs or basic cleaning Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, basic food presentation and quality of service Resolve customer complaints about food quality, or service Expedite food for shifts: concentrating of plate presentation, accuracy and maintaining restaurant “ticket time” goals Responsible for daily cash receipt balance, including shift to shift cash balance and server gratuity payout Help in production of daily specials menu, including building and printing of menu template and programming of menu items into the POS Provide shift assessments by maintaining a management diary that describes the shift, flow of seating and any problems or concerns with staff, facility or customers Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a full service dining restaurant with a full bar Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills Must possess good decision making and problem solving skills Must have the ability to multitask and be good with time management Must be proficient with Microsoft word, excel and outlook programs Aloha POS knowledge is a plus but not mandatory Time Requirements & Compensation: Hourly position - 35 to 45 hour work week Must be available days, nights and weekends as shifts vary
