NEOLITHIC CATS BOND WITH HUMANS ... many have assumed that the cat was domesticated popular status by the Egyptians around 2,000 B.C. ... not any more ... scientist have found a burial that predates that to another region instead on an island off of Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea ... the date is dated to 9,500 years ago .. making it the date of domesticated cats by humans instead of Egyptians .. the cat was buried with the person .. assuming it was a pet .. the person was of high rank and included other items in the burial ... no longer can they say that kitty cats domestication rose out of Egypt but farther out into the waters instead off of Cyprus ... this story is old now but interesting ... 2004 ...
