NEO’s $9 million stadium improvement nears completion Last February Miami voters approved, by an 819-596 margin, $9,000,000 in new funding for Red Robertson Multi-Purpose Event and Sports Complex. The improved facility seats 6,000 people, has a state-of-the-art press box, media rooms, seven suite boxes overlooking new synthetic turf with high efficiency lighting. There is also a high-definition video board with playback capability and premium sound system. The upgraded stadium features include 3,500 sq. ft. home team locker room for Miami High School, showers, training rooms and offices as well as point-of-sale concession stands and restrooms. The project deadline is Oct. 1, 2014. “Crossland Construction has exceeded expectations by striving to meet project deadline despite many challenges including a compact work site and delays from winter weather,” said Dr. Jeff Hale, NEO president. “The company has worked many nights and weekends to get the job done.”
