#NERVEmber Task 18 If you suffer from chronic pain, - TopicsExpress

#NERVEmber Task 18 If you suffer from chronic pain, #spinalcordinjury, #ARACHNOIDITIS, #RSD, #CRPS, #Dysautonomnia, #Raynauds, #neuropathy, #sensoryprocessingdisorder, or if you have a loved one who suffers... please listen to this video. It is important to understand what is going on with us. It is important for our family and friends to understand. Stimulation, good or bad- causes our pain and sensations to increase. Laughter, voices, background noises, changes in air flow, even speaking on the phone or having a conversation in person increases our pain. We are in a constant battle with our own bodies. Our vessels have painful spasms, and any amount of stress increases this, constricting our blood flow. Our blood pressure reaches stroke zone in the blink of an eye when our pain increases, or when others put undue stress on us. We suffer torturous levels of pain most cant imagine, and we fight so hard to live and want to be a part of everyones lives, because most of us live in isolation the majority of time. We miss ourselves, who we used to be- but we miss you. We need to be understood. We are fragile. We are weak and fraile. But, we are stronger than most anyone you will ever know, and we have so much to give. If you are friends with someone who suffers from this, or if you are family, and you have abandoned or shut them out of your life, left them alone to deal with it by themselves- SHAME ON YOU. If you care at all, then do what needs to be done to make it right. We have lost so many to this. Some we have lost to the many complications that arise, some to suicide because they cant take the pain one more moment, or because others have driven them to that point by leaving them alone- not caring. I challenge each of you to participate in #NERVEmber and to not only do each task, but to share and help us spread awareness and education. Be a part of the change in the world you want to see. Touch someones life. Make a difference. Be someones hero. #powerofpainfoundation #thankful #loveyourfamily, #chronicpainawareness #gastroparesis #suicideprevention #SuicideDisease #empathy #imonlyhuman
