NEVER PLACE MAN’S WILL ABOVE GOD’S Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29 A believer that was struggling with his relationship was desperate to make the unionwork that he started disobeying every instruction God gives to him that his spouse don’t want him to obey and because he thought by obeying his wife at the expense ofGod would save him from the impending divorce but each harder he tries to please his wife at the expense of God the more his marriage collapse until the day they were to formally go to the court for the divorce, that night the Lord appeared to him and he asked God why this was happening to him and in reply the Lord told him that its because He placed his wife above Him in the running of his life and when he asked for forgiveness, God gave him one more instruction and whenhe woke up and tried to do it, his wife again objected but this time he wouldn’t listen to his wife at all and when he was through with doing what God told him, things begin to change-when it was time for them to head for the divorce, he was waiting for the wife tohasten him as she had been but the wife was cold about it and when he asked her she said lets postpone it and thus it was postponed tilldeath do them part. Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect? Job 22:3 Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man. Job 35:8 When you obey God and disobey men, you don’t destroy your relationship with such person even though at first it may appear so but you build it up. When you do the will of God, your parents and spouse may at first hate it but at the long run, they will love you more and regret ever standing on your way at the first place. Never disobey God in order to obey man, when you do you’ll lose both God and man but when you obey God rather than man, you may at first lose man but at lastyou’ll gain both man and God. Jesus first lost James and John His early blood brothers in His bid to obey God but when He was gone to heaven these duo repented and wrote the book of the epistle James and John. God bless you.
