NEW: A phone-based fraud starting up again in our county this morning. A male suspect is calling residents identifying himself as Deputy Michael Black advising his targeted victim we hold an active warrant from the IRS and if you dont pay the fine you will be arrested. Please be aware of this scam which includes a phone number on caller ID that appears to be a legit CCSO phone number, but is not.. There is no current CCSO member by this name and this is not how any local law enforcement agency conducts warrant notifications. Dont fall for this scam. If you receive one of these bogus calls, please contact the CCSO with as much info as possible.
