NEW COMMISSION FROM SIMON THE POET The birth of a Dragon This weekend I was invited as a gift by a dear friend to drink with a Shaman in a sacred ceremony. I have had my fair share of visions before but nothing could have prepared me for the wisdom I received, the ancient task that was bestowed on me (and all of us), the past lives I re-lived or the songs that burst from my lungs as I sang alone in the dark all night as if I were carrying the candle of the whole human race through the void until the sun came up. This is going to be a big piece of writing. If you would like to be a patron of this creation, it will be going on the website, recorded as a (long) short story, dedicated to you as the patrons who have helped to fund my writing through this tricky financial time in my career - also, the story concerns all of us, as I was shown things from the perspective of human consciousness, which is all of us together, not just me. I have every intention of becoming enormously successful and famous. God knows Ive been putting my heart into it for years. It feels like Im on the cusp.
