NEW CREATION RHEMA......THE END OF THE LAW.....pt 3.. Yesterday my battery almost went off, so I had to stop there. I was trying to say yesterday that, the desire to obtain justification,( which is to be declared righteous) through the works of the law:( eg, keeping the ten comandments and all the laws, including the laws of dont paint, dont wear trouser, dont put on weavon, etc) is just useless! Why, because no flesh, no mortal can ever be justified by the works of the law (Gal.2:21; Gal. 3:11; Rom.3:20 .You can refer to yesterdays post to read them.) Why did God put an end to the law as the means for justifying man? 1) The law (also called the old covenant) was FAULTY. Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. 2). The law puts people under bondage and CURSE. Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 3). The law does not have forgivness, once it is broken there is no remedy. so the law confines all who live by it to CONDEMNATION, because none can keep the law without pleading GUILTY. Rom 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Thats why people who operate by the law usually have overwhelming guilt, that pushes them to keep doing good works just to gain the forgivness or favour of God. And these people also feel better or even proud, when they accomplish certain spiritul tasks, such as fasting for long, give to the poor, or any other sacrifices. 4). The law was discarded also because by trusting in it, we FRUSTRATE the grace of God, and make the death of Christ, which saves us VAIN. Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. That means when we live by the law we declare that we do not need Jesus, we can keep the law by ourselves so Christ wasted His time to die for us. To be continued.....
