NEW Family Partners Program The Lincoln School Welcome Committee Announces the Launch of the New Family Partners Program and we need YOUR HELP! This pilot stage of the program aims to pair veteran Lincoln families with new incoming 1st - 5th grade students and their families to assist in a smooth transition into our school and community. Whether you have a few months or decades of experience at Lincoln, we would love to have your help as a veteran family. This is not a heavy time commitment. It should easily be doable for working and non-working parents/guardians. Families of children of all grades are encouraged to Partner. Even if you feel like you dont yet know a lot about Lincoln, you know a lot more than a new family and you will have resources at your disposal to answer all questions. We are asking that Veteran Partners commit to the following: - Contact your new family (or families) before school starts via phone (script will be provided) - Attend the Ice Cream Social together on Thursday, August 28 at 5:30pm, or arrange another time to meet face-to-face - Share your contact information with the new family Our hope is that this will lead to additional contact throughout the fall so that new families feel included and have someone to connect with during those beginning of the year events.
