NEW LISTINGS AND MEDIAN SALES PRICE UP IN MAY Both the number of new listings and median sales price in Ulster County rose again in May according to data from the Ulster County Multiple Listing Service. Numbering 486, new listings were up 18.8 percent versus May 2013. Reaching $220,000, the median sales price rose 2.3 percent over May 2013, nearly double the statewide increase. Locally, homes are also selling more quickly, with the average days on market dropping to 164, a 23 percent decrease from the same period last year, while statewide the average days on market increased by 11 percent. Ulster County homes sold at 94.1 percent of their asking price, up .6 percent from 2013, double the statewide increase.
