NEW SEASON ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MIDDLESBROUGH TOWN HALL A PACKED season of exciting entertainment has been announced for performances at Middlesbrough Town Hall. The programme sees a wide array of talents coming to the area from September and through the festive period up until the end of December. The autumn season will include top quality music, comedy, theatre, events and activities packed into the coming months. As usual, some of the UK’s best comedy talent will be performing at the venue including Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Jason Manford, Ed Byrne and Alan Davies. Among the music acts announced are Simon & Garfunkel tribute Bookends, the English Piano Trio, The Ultimate Elvis, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio, The Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia and Ray Jackson’s Lindisfarne. A concert will also be held in the Town Hall as part of the Middlesbrough Live event on Saturday, September 28 with performances from, among others, X Factor star Misha B. For the children there is Misunderstood Monsters and a Christmas performance of the score from The Gruffalo by Northern Sinfonia. “We are proud to be launching a new Classical Concert Series, which will once again present world-class orchestras from across Europe, as well as a new Chamber Concert Series presenting smaller-scale works in a more intimate setting.
