NEW TO HRU? Our horses are kept up-to-date on shots, farrier and dental work before adoption, and are thoroughly evaluated. You do NOT need to own a farm to adopt- most board at outside, approved facilities. Its okay if your barn is old - we care about safe and secure. First-time owners with equine care knowledge/experience are welcome! Each horse is adopted on a min. 60 day trial period to ensure a match, and we require an annual vet check form each June, along with photos every three months. We then share those photos with you here...you never need to wonder, what happened to him/her? We seek loving homes who will commit to their horse, even when he/she can no longer work, but we always take a horse back if an adopters situation changes.
