NEW TO RESCUE: 2 senior darlings entered rescue this week. They are both emaciated and will need some TLC in order to get them on the right track. On the left, we have Scooby - hes an 11 year-old boy who walks very well on a leash...for such a tiny guy he had great strength on the leash as he pulled on the leash so that we would leave the animal shelter more quickly! Hell be getting a dental cleaning and will probably need extractions (an expensive endeavor, but very needed for this little guy). On the right, we have Jasmine - shes a very special 15 year-old girl. Jasmine is blind and deaf. She also has a strong heart murmur, bad teeth, and a huge hunch to her spine. It is unclear how long Jasmine will be with us, but we are determined to give her comfort and to have the vet determine what we can do to improve her quality of life. The 2 chihuahuas came from the same home and appear to be very bonded.
