** NEW VACANCY ** Business Coordinator - Nr Newmarket - £20k to £25k DOE As an integral member of the Business Development team, the purpose of this role is to prepare proposals and other documentation required to support the sale of scientific services. The role will require a strong collaboration with operational scientific managers to bring together the correct cost assumptions, calculate prices using Excel cost models and prepare accurate, well presented proposals to maximise our opportunity to win business. The job holder will be office based and will work under the direction of an experienced business development manager, but support all members of the business development team. Essential requirements: • Well organised with acute attention to detail (essential) • Strong interpersonal communications skills (essential) • Confident, friendly, relationship-builder (essential) • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail (essential) • Broad IT competence (Word, Excel, Database etc.) (essential) • Basic understanding of pharma development and outsourcing processes (desirable, not essential) • Scientific qualification (desirable, not essential) • Commercial awareness (desirable, not essential) Role outline: • As an integral member of the BD team, support the achievement of corporate sales targets • Prepare template proposals • Prepare template contract documents (confidentiality, MSA’s Task Orders etc.) • Set-up new opportunities on the CRM system • Liaise with operational colleagues in obtaining cost assumptions • Prepare prices using the pricing model • Update Opportunities and Projects on the CRM system upon closure (win or lose), ensuring that all required documents are filed and circulated appropriately • Maintain and update client and study files (electronic & hardcopy), seeking opportunities to streamline and improve throughout • Update accounts and contacts on the CRM system Assist with other activities within the department as required, such as: • Marketing activities (mailings, e-mailings, events) • Sales meeting arrangements (room bookings, agenda etc.) • Research and prepare reports on new market opportunities • Identify and qualify new potential client companies and individuals Contact [email protected] for more information.
