NEW YEAR AMAZING JOURNEY – 03 Days - 02 Nights. Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate - Dades gorges - 30 December 2014 Pick up from Marrakech airport or Hotel crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. You will pass through lots of Berber villages. Arrival to the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou an ancient fortified city containing countless kasbahs and has been the atmospheric subject of numerous hollywood movies (The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander, Lawrence of Arabia…). Lunch in Ouarzazate. Later on, you’ll head through the Valley of the Roses to Dades gorges where you will enjoy a Moroccan dinner and evening at a hotel with beautiful views of the Dades valley. Day 2: Dades gorges – Todra Gorges - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi dunes - 31 December 2014 After breakfast, we drive from Dades Valley to Todra Gorges – a massive fault dividing the High Atlas Mountains, rising up 300 meters in a narrow valley with palm trees and Berber villages. After lunch you’ll head further into the desert to the gateway town of Merzouga to pick up supplies for your desert trip. You will then drive on to a kasbah to pick up your camels. At sunset, you’ll have a camel ride for an hour-and-a-half to a Berber desert camp where you will celebrate the New Year party and enjoy a gorgeous Moroccan dinner, and sleep under the stars or under the nomad tents. Day 3: Merzouga – Rose valley - Marrakech - 01 January 2015 Wake to a desert sunrise and then return to the Hotel ridding camels. You will then have a chance to freshen up and enjoy a breakfast. You will leave towards Marrakech travelling across the High Atlas Mountains.
