NEWBERG CITY COUNCIL SETS DEFINITE TIME FOR COUNCIL MEETING its a decision meant to improve transparency with the public and decrease confusion. The Newberg city council has decided to start all city council business meetings at 7pm, and if required, a work session will be held at 6pm BEFORE the council meeting. The September 2nd council meeting started at 6pm, but the majority of councilors felt that would be confusing to citizens if the council business meeting started at varying times. The meeting was held September 2nd due to the Monday Labor Day holiday. So, going forward....Newberg city council work session if required will be at 6pm, and the council business meeting will start at 7pm if there is no work session, the regular business meeting will still start at 7pm, usually on the first and third Mondays of the month.
