NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP in 2015….I am putting very, very tentative feelers out. I have thought about this for some time….how I would love to share what I have learnt about the art of newborn photography with others. In a previous life I was a qualified teacher and have taught art and photography with a zest over many years - now I am involved with photographing the most gorgeous babies….but do you know the road to this point was sometimes lonely, difficult, and disheartening, I had so many questions relating to newborn photography... and no-one to ask! What I would have given to learn from someone experienced! So, offering a workshop will for one moment in time bring the two parts of my working and creative life together. A chance to give back, support and inspire! I will be offering my first ever newborn photography workshop in 2015. I have found an amazing venue in Maidstone and am looking at spring as the right time to offer this one off workshop. The workshop will cover… preparing for your newborn session, welcoming parents, soothing baby, posing baby safely, creatively using backdrops, wraps and stand alone props, parent shots, use of natural light, a little post production demonstration in PS, a chance to chat and ask questions about the nature of being a newborn photographer and running a business in this field. The workshop will be all day, with a break for lunch too. It would include the chance to photograph 2 different newborn babies and to use the images you shoot on the day in your own portfolio. You are of course expected to own and understand how to use your own digital SLR on manual using natural light. Please understand this is not available to those living within 25 mile radius of ME15. The cost of this first ever workshop will be a fabulous fee of just £195 per person. If you are interested please email [email protected] Rebecca xxx
