NEWS: A release from Medicine Hat Police Service regarding a break and enter on August 1st. On August 1, 2014 Medicine Hat Police responded to Jackson Dodge located at 1500 Strachan Rd SE and Southlands Volkswagen, 1450 Strachan Rd SE, for reports of Break and Enter that occurred between the hours of 5:37 a.m and 6:07 a.m. Jackson Dodge had a Silver 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 stolen from the parking lot, and Southlands had a smashed window and a small amount of cash stolen. Police later located the stolen vehicle in the area of Sprague Way SE and Southridge Dr SE with a 16 year old male inside. This vehicle had been involved in a Hit & Run causing about $14000 damage to the front end. The male has been charged with Break & Enter and commit Theft over $5000, Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident and Operate a Motor Vehicle without a Driver’s License. The youth has been released with conditions and will appear in court on August 25, 2014. The identity of the male involved cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
