NEWS: Australia Post is developing a brain Aust Post has introduced a parcel forwarding service for on line purchases from the USA where the seller would have otherwise shipped outside the USA. There are alot of international players who already offer this where you effectively rent a US PO box & the company on forwards goods (either single-y or bundled together) that are addressed to that PO box. The Australia Post service is simpler...parcels are forwarded individually with no permanent rental fee. The Aust Post service fees are (apparently) competitive. They are calculated as: * a flat fee of AU$24.95 per package; plus * AU$5.95 charged per 500 grams of weight. The weight is measured as the higher of the physical weight of the package or the cubic weight (a number that is calculated from the physical dimensions of the package). Like if you like.
