NEWS FLASH MASSI Bruno Rodriguez Palma was just for a visit to see Massi as he is missing him terribly :( and every so worried for him. He has shared this photos with us and will keep us up to date as he learns anything at all. This is a translated post off the Don Galgo event for Massi Many of you have been asking what about Massi, our big guy has been was getting tests to find out what the cause of his inability to stand up is… We also want to update you on his history, thanks to you all because they are doing the studies that has been so badly needed. Last Friday we were told that Massi was in the veterinary, having a second TAC and anticipating a surgery this past Monday. A first degenerative lesion in L6 and L7 was identified in these first tests - sacrum, as I mentioned before, but in the second study was a more important discovery between L2-L3 to be decompressed a fixed injury. However, the orthopedic surgeon considers these justify parexia injuries (paralysis) of the hind limbs which do not have mobility. Therefore Massi remains admitted in the veterinary hospital and to further assess the situation. One of the last tests they have done it is a removal of cerebrospinal fluid for testing and to rule out infection of spinal problems as well as a panel of neural evidence. For now we are waiting for all results, so far the veterinarian can not assess which is the best solution to Massi. For this reason we did not redo raffle ... already we hate having to ask for money, even less when we do not know how much the total budget amount Massi will need. Depending on their results and whether or not surgery or other treatment we can not ask for an amount blindly. All we know for now that the cost of the second TAC and the test panel and amounted to over 400 euros ... So of course we welcome any donations, however small, to go towards the tests they are doing until they can evaluate the exact damage and the corresponding treatment, for which, once identified, we can organize the second raffle.
