Scotty Gibbons Appointed as National Youth Ministries Strategist The AG National Leadership and Resource Center (NLRC) has appointed Scotty Gibbons to a new strategic role on the National Youth Ministries team. Gibbons arrives with a wealth of youth ministry experience, having served for the past 20 years as a student ministries director, speaker, author, and leadership coach. He brings an incredible track record of leading healthy youth ministries in all stages of growth and development. Gibbons’ leadership has been characterized by measurable and sustainable success along with an emphasis on the importance of being Spirit-empowered. In this new strategic role, Gibbons will come alongside Heath Adamson, Senior Ministry Business Director, National Youth Ministries, to play a key role in creating healthy youth ministries in the Assemblies of God. “What I anticipate the most about Scotty coming alongside is his heart. Decades of successful ministry flow from his heart; his heart for God and for students,” says Adamson. “I am more excited about who he is as a leader rather than what he has done.” General Superintendent Dr. George O. Wood adds, “I am thrilled to have Scotty Gibbons join our youth leadership team. He brings a wealth of experience in youth ministry, and an unparalleled passion to equip the next generation for service to Jesus Christ!” Gibbons, whose official position title will be national Youth Ministries Strategist, and his wife, Casey, are the proud parents of 5 girls. He will begin serving in his role in January 2014.
