NEWS FROM THE DOMINICAN (Thurs 5/15) #HHCAClassof2014 ~ We had an amazing day of ministry today. This morning we had a chance to go to Emmanuel House. Emmanuel House is a school that was started to enable low income families to attend school. (Low income meaning those who could not afford birth certificates so their kids couldnt attend school). Not only were we able to minister to the students but we also had a chance to take bags of food to families of the students and pray with the families. Our students were truly blown away by going into the homes of these students and seeing the reality of their living conditions (dirt floors, no electricity, no running water, etc...). As Audrey Bensch put it, It put life in perspective and made me want to help them. This afternoon we went to a village and spent a few hours playing with kids and sharing the Gospel at the local church plant. Alexis Evanofski shared her testimony and our students sang songs, performed skits, and loved on Gods people. We also were able to buy 30 bags of food to feed families in the village. God has been very gracious to us. Please continue to pray that the students hearts would be challenged and that we would be effective in ministering to the Dominican people.
