NEWS HEADLINES : * About 49% voters exercised their right to franchise in the 4thphase of Assembly Elections-2014 across 18 Assembly constituencies of four districts in the state including Srinagar, Anantnag, Shopian and Samba. * An FIR was filed against BJP candidate from Shopian Javed Ahmad Qadri, who was caught on camera thrashing a man in a polling booth, while another party nominee Hina Bhat allegedly slapped an election official claiming irregularities. * Workers of rival political parties today clashed at nearly a dozen places during polling in Srinagar and Anantnag districts of Kashmir Valley. * Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday said that the BJP would not go with any regional party to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir.
