NEWS: In 2015 we will produce Red Earth Revisited: a coproduction Speeltheater Holland Studio and Assitej South Africa. With 3 professionals actors and 5 young actors from South Africa & Netherlands. The aim is not only to make a good play, but also to let the young students experience each others culture through rehearsing, travel and performing together. Rehearsals will be in Hamburg in the Eastern Cape in June 2015. Opening is next year in Grahamstown EC and will travel in South Africa. Then we will perform in the Netherlands, definitely for two weeks in the Krakeling in Amsterdam and maybe more...With thanks to all the people who donated for this project by giving donations, by purchasing the Theatrical Cookery Book and the Fonds Podiumkunsten. We are leaving the 29th of June to visit the Grahamstown Festival in South Africa and to have auditions for the South African cast. In the fall there will be auditions for the Dutch actors. There will be a camera crew to make a documentary of the process for telelevision (especially with the focus on the young students).
