NEWS..Life Came Back To Normal In Kashmir, Shopian Continues To Be Under Curfew Life came back to normal in Kashmir on Monday after two days shut down called out by senior separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani, Chairman Hurriyat (G). But, District Shopian continues to be under curfew apprehending law and order situation in the area after the recent killings near Gagran CRPF camp. In all other parts of Kashmir, shops, business establishments, petrol pumps, offices and educational institutions are functioning normally today. Public transport is back on roads and all roads leading to the city centre, Lal Chowk, are jam packed. On Monday curfew is lifted from Pulwama town, Kakapora and District Kulgam after six days as the situation, as per the police, is better in these area. Manoj Sheeri, the police spokesperson said, “Curfew is in place in Shopian district only.” A local from Pulwama town told Kashmir Life, “Yes curfew has been lifted, there are no restrictions in the area but the heavy deployment of police and CRPF is still seen here.” Meanwhile, the locals from Shopian informed that they are running short of essential commodities like medicines and baby foods.
